Student Life

Summit Christian Academy does not limit the learning environment to the classroom. Please see the Curriculum Map for each grade that includes many of the field trips taken to enhance the education.

Jr. Beta (grades 5-8)

Jr. Beta is an honor society available to Summit students who exhibit exceptional academic achievement and citizenship. This group participates in several outreach projects each year including Pennies for Patients, the Buddy Walk supporing Down Syndrome Research, and donating to a local chairty called Sonshine Missions.

Sold Out middle school vocal ensemble group

This group is open to middle school vocalists upon completion of an audition. The group sings at school functions and local churches. They have also sany the National Anthem at a Lexington Legends game.

ACSI Spelling Bee

The ACSI Spelling Bee is open to grades 1 - 8. The participants are selected by completing in-class competions.

ACSI Science Fair

We participate in the ACSI Science Fair some years and have also hosted the event.

Spiritual Emphasis Week

During Spiritual Emphasis week our students focus on a topic for spiritual growth.

See You at the Pole

See You at the Pole is our opportunity to gather around our flag pole to pray for various needs.

Career Week for 8th grade

During Career Week 8th grade students explore their career interest and complete the week by shadowing a professional of their choice.

Caroling at nursing homes and fire stations

Annually, elementary classes go caroling at locat nursing homes and fire stations.

Salvation Army and Samaritan's Purse

The middle school visits the local Salvation Army annually to volunteer and do a Samaritan's Purse drive to provide Christmas gifts for needy children around the world.
