Preschool
Our preschool students start each morning learning about God’s love for them and the joy of a life devoted to Him. Their day begins with prayer and a Bible story and is packed with fun. Parents know their children are also learning valuable socialization skills, kindergarten readiness skills, and gross and fine motor skills.
But if you ask a pre-schooler, they’ll tell you they sing, paint, write, hear stories, play on an awesome playground, play games with their friends, and get smarter every day. They love it! And why shouldn’t they? The preschool classrooms are large and students have access to a computer learning area, dramatic play area, math and science center, a sensory table, a library loft, a private bathroom, and a music and listening center. They get to go outside to play on a new enclosed playground, play in the gym, visit the library and attend chapel. And with a low student-to-teacher ratio, they get a lot of individual attention which helps them excel.
Summit Christian Academy offers both a half-day and full-day preschool program for three year olds and four/five year olds. School begins at 8:15 a.m. and ends either at 11:15 a.m. or 3:15 p.m. for the half-day or full-day preschool students. Parents may choose to enroll their children for the full week or just Tuesday and Thursdays or Monday-Wednesday-Fridays. Half–day students may extend their pick up time to 12:30 p.m. by enrolling, for an additional fee, in the lunch buddies program.
